We all know that we can embed a YouTube video in Blogger in the main text area. However, it is a brilliant idea to add a video on blogger sidebar to draw immediate attention of your audience. Adding a video to blogger sidebar is not straight forward, however the work around is quite simple. Follow the steps as given below and you can easily add a video on blogger sidebar.
1.Open the YouTube video that you want to share in your blog. For demonstration, I have opened a Tom & Jerry cartoon.
2.Pause the video and click on the share button. Now share on the embed button. Copy the html
3. Now go to your blog and open it in design mode.
4.Click on “Layout” on the left pane.
5.Now click on “Add a Gadget”
6.This will open up number of gadgets. Select HTML/Java Script.
7.Add a suitable title for your video. Here, we have put “ My Favorite Cartoon” . And then paste the code that you copied from youtube. Click Save.
8.Now click “Save Arrangements” in the Layout window.
9.Now open the blog and you can see your video on blogger sidebar, where you have added the html gadget.
