When you are publishing your website, whether it is commercial or your personal blog, the ultimate aim is that it would reach maximum number people across the globe. However, when it is exposed to the whole world, publishing your website only in English may not suffice. If the website is for your business purpose and you have enough money budgeted for the site, you may opt for manual translation for the majority of your audience. When you implement google translate, please remember that since it’s machine translated, it may not be up to your satisfaction. However, you or your user can always go back to google translation and submit a suggestion for change in the translation. But of course, you have to know the language to make the correction. Follow the below steps to implement machine translation for your website.

1.Go to the website https://translate.google.com/manager/website/. If you don’t have a google account, you have to create one for you.

2.On the right hand side, click on Add website. In the website info page, enter your website address and choose your website language. By default, it is English. Click on next button.

3.In the Plug-In settings, you have the options to choose selected number of languages or all available languages in google translator. In the display option, you can select different display types. If you select Automatic, Google Translate will automatically show translate banner, in case the visitor is coming from a region, where the language is different from your website language. You have also the provision of tracking different languages through Google Analytics.

4.Next click on Get Code. You will get the Plug-In code. The tag is required to be added to all the pages that you are willing to translate.

If you are using Google Blogger, go to design mode. Navigate to Template and click on Edit HTML. Add the meta tag just before the closing head tag.
