This very fact has also been supported by Richard Petty, Ph. D. , a professor at the Ohio State University. Dr. Richard Patty, has done an experiment with 83 people and came out with the fact as how to cure depression. He asked all of them to write down their thoughts and then either would keep it with them or throw it away. It was found that people, who kept the papers with them, were more likely to retain their thought pattern. On the contrary, the people, who threw away their notes and having negative thoughts, showed positive change in their behavior.
