An all purpose alert notification software

You are no longer required to hop from one application to another to check new message or notification. Now, you can just set up an alert notification software through your Chrome browser and avoid missing any notification.

The alert notification can be set up through Chime. Chime is an extension of Chrome browser. You can download it by clicking this link . Once installed, you can select the applications, for which you do need the notification. The good part is that it automatically selects the applictions and do the configuration accordingly, where you are already logged in. To select other available applications, you need to choose those applications manually and provide the log-in credentials. Currently it supports the below applications

How does it work - Chime logs in to the selected applications with your login credentials and then intercepts all the new notifications. When you get any new notification from any of the applications, it opens a pop up window at the bottom right corner, with the notification. It also shows the application name e.g. gmail in different color i.e. red. In case, you miss the pop-up window, you can also see all the notifications from the Chime menu, next to the Chrome's file menu. If you would like to see detail message, just click on it and it will take you to the actual message. The good part is that there is no server side code and Chime handles the entire operation in your computer. It ensures that you need not worry about your data security.
